In The Beginning

A group of 7 men and women of diverse backgrounds standing in front of a large rainbow colored sign that says "CommUNITY Concert, Love Wins." This group is the first organizers of the event.

The Glendale CommUNITY Concert started with our founder, Cassie Saines. After enjoying small local Pride Festivals in the tristate area, Cassie wanted to bring that same joy to her hometown of Glendale, Ohio. When recent events left her feeling discouraged, she decided it was time to bring people together. With the help of seven neighbors and friends, they formed a planning committee and created the first CommUNITY Concert.

The first CommUNITY Concert took place on July 12, 2025, with DJ Castle as the MC. We were sponsored by a local group called Glendale Cares, Harry Whiting Brown Community Center, and Cincinnati Pride. Although it was a stormy day, the excitement of the event outlasted the weather. Around 200 people came out to dance in the rain, shop with local vendors, and enjoy the music.

This year, we want to focus even more on the UNITY in our concert by inviting nearby towns like Lincoln Heights, Woodlawn, Sharonville, and Springdale to join us. We hope to show the LGBTQIA+ community that they are loved and welcome, and that our neighbors from all backgrounds feel included. Will you help us celebrate everything that makes Glendale special?
